Testimonials
I had practiced integrative family medicine, and I loved my profession of medicine overall, however, personally, I was at a crossroads as to how I wanted to practice as a physician. I also personally was struggling to grow in some areas that I felt I wanted to do so, such as writing and research and providing presentations or lectures. I really felt that my teaching had outgrown the one on one model, but I did not really know how to get things to the next level. I also felt more directed to incorporate the spiritual aspect of a person’s life into their care and healing. Working in administration and light clinical work did not allow for this, nor did any other model that I had practiced in. I was not fulfilled, I felt frustrated, I did not feel valued, and I did not feel I was making a difference, and I did not want to continue practicing medicine. I wanted out.
Across my inbox came an invitation for the Whole Health Medical Institute, and I thought great, this is what I have been looking for, my tribe. When I signed up, I felt, this is really important for me to jump in with both feet, I wanted to be seen for who I was and how I practiced medicine. I also thought it would be cool to do one on one work during this time, and if only there was a way to do that with Lissa, I would be in heaven. Then along came another email in my inbox inviting me to the year-long mentoring program. Ahah. that was it; I was in hook, line, and sinker. I did both.
The year flew by and was rich with discussions, readings, and challenges to my current paradigms of living and how I practiced medicine. It was transformative; the areas of insecurity were brought into the light and gently discussed, felt, and transformed into a quiet, strong, and wild heart type of determination. My relationships became richer, and my marriage more full as I was personally more satisfied with who I was becoming by discovering who I actually was all along. Eureka . . . I found me. This translated into action, and I opened a solo micro practice on a shoestring budget, minimal debt, and have grown over 300%. Patients find our practice to be “just what they are looking for,” a place where they are seen, heard, and cared for. No assembly line, individualized care, and diagnostic and treatment plans that are helping patients heal, some of them for the first time ever. This model is rich and fulfilling for me, and I would not have had the insight had I not been a part of the WHMI. Thank you, for the excellent program that challenged me to grow and to step into my true calling. Being myself and being a physician. My practice is now branching to add virtual consults, education, and speaking engagements, and writing for various journals. All of this is grounded and launched from my daily practice. I can see myself practicing like this for a long, long time.
When I embarked on a quest to learn more about Lissa’s revolutionary approach to wellbeing, it was because I knew the health system was broken and that I was broken within it. It was beyond burnout, more a weary acceptance that I would remain dissatisfied with the approach to care that had been entrenched for decades. Once I came to understand epigenetics, non-duality, and Rachel Remen’s insistence to lean into our heart-felt compassion; that was when I began to heal. Myself, and finally others. Since my cohort finished the course, many of us are still connected and inspired by the transformative paradigms, we are each devising in our respective spaces. Many of us have quit our comfortable positions that no longer held sufficient purpose; our dreams have gotten grandiose. Mine is the complete disruption of health systems, and I’ve created a novel role where I can manifest a microcosm of what is possible. Something I could not have dreamed of before I began this healing journey and perspective shift. Lissa helps you understand that we are not broken, just not integrating our wholeness, and she teaches us how. Please join us. We need you.
The Whole Health Medicine Institute came into my life at just the right moment. I felt the familiar pressures in my medical practice to see more patients, meet budget, document every move, yet keep the integrity of comprehensive and compassionate care for my patients. It was exhausting. I asked to be shown what I was doing to deplete not only my energy but also my soul. Lissa, the five-star faculty, and fifteen other doctors of the WHMI fulfilled that wish. They taught, encouraged, and embodied deep self-inquiry, self-reflection, and self-care. These often-forgotten actions, I now know, are fundamental to becoming a fully actualized physician, leader, and human being. No place have I found such an innovative and intuitively designed program. Nowhere have I found such kinship of like-minded souls. Each one of them benevolently challenged my limiting beliefs and allowed me to defy the rules with grace. I have since resigned from my current position as a hospital employed physician, ready to create my dream practice aligned with my ideals and live life in fullest expression. Truly, I am honored to be among this new generation of visionary physicians at cause to heal patients, communities, health care, and humanity one person at a time. I am forever grateful to Lissa and the WHMI for breaking open my heart and mind to possibility.
Words simply cannot express what transformation I have undergone by being involved in the Whole Health Medicine Institute! I have found new meaning in my work and the world of medicine, as I used to know it is forever changed! I have connected with my new tribe and made friendships that will last a lifetime. My zest for my work is fueled by a new fire that comes from within and is burning brighter and brighter every day. I can’t wait to be able to heal more of my patients as a whole, rather than just a physical being. Watch out world, because here we come!
When I heard about Lissa Rankin’s Whole Health Medicine Institute, I thought: “Great! Here’s someone who ‘gets’ the problems in medicine today.” Being exposed to such great thought leaders has been priceless. As a full-time surgeon participating in the inaugural year of the Whole Health Medicine Institute, my resolve to continue on my personal quest of the past three years: helping doctors so they can stay in medicine and remember why they went into medicine in the first place, has been strengthened and magnified. My book and webpage by the same name is a testament to that.
As a women’s imaging radiologist, I feel remarkably blessed to be part of this program. Our group has become a unified team that I can call colleagues, friends, and soul sisters. Not only have I learned invaluable lessons from a brilliant, intuitive, heart-centered panel of luminaries, I’ve also experienced breakthroughs in my own life by following the exercises throughout the program. For instance, I’ve changed jobs, transferring to a practice more aligned with my core values, and I’ve begun creating my own consulting/coaching practice. Also, two aggravating health conditions that were unresponsive to conventional medical treatment have pretty much completely resolved. A profound thank you goes to Lissa and the rest of the team who led me on this incredible journey. The adventure has just begun.
I have been working as an Interventional Cardiologist for 20 years and recognized shortly out of training that the traditional Western approach to health is inadequate. Despite frustration, I plugged along as best as I could until I began exploring expansion of my own consciousness and awareness, which eventually led to Lissa Rankin’s Whole Health Medicine Institute. I can now say that I am emerging as a physician of LIGHT (Love, Illumination, Growth, Healing, Transformation). Through the gentle and masterful instruction from the teachers in this program, each of these facets has blossomed in me. Unconditional Love for oneself allows emergence of love for patients and all beings. Illumination of both stuck places and gifts in myself allowed my inner healer to truly shine forth. Growth as a human being has connected me with compassion to patients and the world. Healing from the inside out allowed rebalancing of my physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. Transformation to a Visionary Healer has readied me to step into my True Calling. This journey is not for the faint of heart, but ask yourself – “Am I more afraid of realizing my true potential, or am I more afraid of staying stuck in a position not aligned with my inner purpose”? I invite you to go inward and ask the question that may ignite your life!
I feel grateful for my time with the WHMI. Dr. Lissa Rankin truly has a gift for finding amazing and compassionate teachers. She also has pure intentions to heal the healthcare system. I signed up for a professional transformation and ended up with unexpected deep personal growth within a community of like minded physicians.
The WHMI Visionary Physician program is unlike any other training I have ever been a part of. In addition to having the benefit of learning from Lissa Rankin, MD, and other luminaries in the field of progressive medicine, the personal growth that is offered in this program is unparalleled. I saw myself and my fellow physicians become leaders seemingly overnight. We are all transformed by this experience and looking forward to expanded careers in clinical and non-clinical medicine. The teachings in Mind Over Medicine, allowed me to take my practice to the next level, and the strategic sessions opened my eyes to new ways to serve as a medical doctor in the broadest sense. I highly recommend this program to any physician who is ready to grow into their full potential, whether caring for individual patients or healing the world.
The Whole Health Medicine Institute is one of the most comprehensive training programs I have found. The quality and quantity of the content are amazing, and more importantly, can be put into practice immediately. Dr. Lissa Rankin has developed a program that will change the face of both conventional and “alternative” medicine in the very near future. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is willing to fully step into the future of health care.
This program will change your life. If you are ready to step off the cliff into the loving arms of the Divine to co-create not only the future of a health care system but a world, sourced in Love, then don’t miss a single opportunity to experience a transmission from Lissa Rankin, MD and her team of visionary leaders.
Finding my tribe! So refreshing to be in conversation and develop relationships with people in the healing arts and sciences who “get it,” who have common interests, perspectives, openness, curiosity. We can let our guard down and discuss ideas, “extraordinary ways of knowing,” learning from one another, growing together, lifting one another up, supporting and caring even if the idea or method is unfamiliar . . . A rich and nourishing group!
The WHMI Program was an innovative and inspiring creation of Dr. Lissa Rankin and her core team. The WHMI was a call to action in both our personal and professional lives. The program created a meeting place for like-minded souls lovingly known as the “tribe.” We endeavored to cross over a bridge together, ending up in a new paradigm of consciousness known as “MOM” or Mind Over Medicine! The design was deliberate, and we learned to embrace both the power of uncertainty and adversity in our lives. We now know that we will continually move forward as individuals and collectively in community. We have been empowered and transformed in this process together, and gratefully forever changed.
WHMI has given a new depth to my work and helped by giving me a framework to engage clients, in a new even more, empowering way. I’ve loved every minute of the course, even while it was both challenging and exciting. The live event, the guest speakers, the 6-step process, various books, reading materials, and wonderful colleagues on the course, has made this an exciting life-changing milestone. I can’t wait for more.
Incredible cutting-edge material & concepts! I now have a structured format practicing as a holistic healthcare counselor. I’m excited in being involved in this grass roots campaign, with this community, revolutionizing health.
I have studied the effect of beliefs and placebos and healing for many years, reading a variety of authors. Mind Over Medicine by Dr. Lissa Rankin is the best book I’ve encountered integrating this material. I read it five times and took 80+ typed pages of notes. Taking the workshop was a great culmination of this information. I love the focus of the 6 Steps To Healing Yourself, with diagnosing the root cause and developing the Prescription from the clarity of the Inner Pilot Light. I highly recommend this program for enlightened practitioners wanting to include the latest research findings in their work with clients to facilitate healing, understanding the placebo and role of beliefs.
I came away from WHMI with a renewed sense of myself, my ability, and my confidence to actually teach others about “true” healing (not what I have been doing in medicine for 21 years). I feel a deeper connectedness to the One, a commitment to the world in carrying out this work, and a commitment in myself to always listen to my Inner Pilot Light. I am more HAPPY and JOYFUL, for sure!
WHMI truly changed me. I came in feeling like I knew a lot (eek!). I completed the class with incredible humility, with a new level of curiosity as to what is possible and massive loads of gratitude for the whole collection of beings that came together in this way. I see life as the metaphor of what muscles we are training, and my muscles of patience, curiosity, humility, openness, and Divine connection have been strengthened tremendously.
The healing that I have experienced through this period of deep contemplation is what I will always remember. Gratitude for the support to be vulnerable, still, awakened and transformed in my professional practice. The journey now continues . . .
Completely life changing & you don’t even have to work at it!
The WHMI training is a unique opportunity to experience personal and professional transformation. Additional thought leaders, poised at the intersection of science and spirituality, provide weekly interactive sessions. I have practiced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery for 24 years. This course helped me implement a refreshing change in my approach to self-care and patient care. It is a radical alignment with the ancient nature of our beloved medical profession. Hippocrates said, “With purity and holiness, I will pass my life and practice my Art.” If you have been thinking about a change but don’t know-how . . . now is the time, and this is the way.
