10 EXPERT TELECLASSES (Including a Bonus Session with a Prominent Shaman)

Whole Health Medicine Institute Curriculum and Faculty (exact dates and times of each module to be finalized soon)

The education you will experience at the Institute falls under three pillars—“Heal the Healer,” which is a personal/spiritual transformative growth process, “Business Development,” which is aimed at helping you add value to your “whole health practice” so you might have the option of using your professional expertise as part of an entrepreneurial venture, and “Core Curriculum,” where you will be taught tools that will help you build a richer, more satisfying, more patient-centered relationship.

Teleclasses will include 60 minutes of content and 30 minutes of Question & Answer. Classes will be held live, but all classes will also be recorded so you can participate when your schedule permits. You will be responsible for the cost of calling into the US-based conference call line. For international callers, we invite you to try Skype to minimize costs.

  1. This “core curriculum” module focuses on the importance of communication for both healer and patient, provider and client. Dr. Sangwan was trained as an engineer before her medical training and served within the Kaiser system as a hospitalist. Quickly she saw clearly how better communication skills could have a dramatic effect on well-being, patient safety, overall health outcomes, and medical errors. Her book, Talk Rx, published in 2015 by Hay House, is an excellent primer for bringing clear honest communication back to the heart of the healing interaction. We are delighted to have Dr. Sangwan with WHMI for the first time in 2016.
  2. This “Core Curriculum” module focuses on dispelling myths about genetic determinism that you may have been taught during your medical education and proves to you that you and your clients are not victims of their genes. Bruce Lipton will be sharing the findings of his research, which were published in his bestselling book The Biology Of Belief. You will learn how to help your clients improve their health outcomes by shifting their conscious and subconscious beliefs from self-defeating, fatalistic “I am a victim of my genes” thinking to optimistic thoughts that can affect how our DNA expresses itself in vivo.
  3. This “Core Curriculum” module focuses on how to help clients be “exceptional clients.” Bernie Siegel, author of the classic Love, Medicine & Miracles, will share what he has learned after decades of working with cancer clients about how to help clients achieve the best outcome possible.
  4. This module blends “Core Curriculum” with “Heal The Healer,” as guest teacher Steve Sisgold, author of What’s Your Body Telling You?” and Whole Body Intelligence, teaches you how to use your body as a compass, guiding your decision-making, both as a doctor and as a patient. Steve’s work also focuses on how our bodies store limiting, self-sabotaging beliefs, and how even if we change our minds, our bodies may betray us unless we release these beliefs from the body. Steve teaches practical tools you can use on yourself, which will also be helpful when you work with clients. You will have the opportunity to practice these tools with your practice partner.
  5. We’ve been taught that chronic pain is the result of injury and inflammation, requiring treatments such as pain medication, anti-inflammatories, surgery, and physical therapy. But what if chronic pain could be relieved instantly by simply shifting the energy of thoughts that block you? This is what energy healer Brandy Gillmore discovered in her own healing journey through an injury and the resultant chronic pain which she self-healed by shifting her thoughts, beliefs and feelings. Brandy will demonstrate and instruct us in the tools she uses with clients to cure pain quickly and without risk.
  6. The stories we tell ourselves can change our brain circuitry, our relationships, and our path through the world. They can elevate life to heaven on earth, or drop us unceremoniously into the fire. This powerful module by the legendary Dr. Joan Borysenko will help you create your personal Tree of Life, explore your life myths, both sacred and profane, harvest the wisdom of deep discontent, use the written word to transform darkness into light, and ultimately change your brain and your life by changing your story. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Borysenko to WHMI for the first time in 2016.
  7. Once you’ve worked through the Six Steps To Healing Yourself with a client, you’re likely to run into one big stumbling block–fear. Module 7 shares content from Lissa’s latest book The Fear Cure to help you and your clients overcome unnecessary fear, as well as learn how to differentiate healthy fear from unhealthy fear. You’ll learn practical tools intended to help you and your clients make decisions from the soul’s wisdom rather than the small self’s fears in order to cultivate the kind of courage you’ll need in order to live a soul-driven life.
  8. This “Core Curriculum” module focuses on Step 5 (Write your own prescription) and Step 6 (Surrender attachment to outcomes) of the Six Steps to Healing Yourself. You will be given tools to help facilitate these steps with your patients and will be given the opportunity to practice these tools with your “Practice Partner.” Guest teacher Tosha Silver, author of Outrageous Openness, will teach how Step 6 should really be Step 1. Her teaching focuses on the “how to” of surrender, so we can help our patients do everything within their power to achieve optimal health outcomes, but ultimately, we are not in control, and neither are our patients. In addition to teaching our patients how to create a patient-centered action plan (The Prescription), it is also our responsibility as true healers to guide our patients spiritually and help them learn to let the Divine take the lead in their own lives.
  9. This “Core Curriculum” module will take us deep into the worlds human energy fields, energy centers in the body and their influence on creative capacity and physical healing. This module will also discuss the relationship between the conscious and subconscious mind and how they relate to anxiety and stress versus triumph and success.
  10. Shaman TBD

This Bonus Module will feature a prominent Shaman sharing their journey into worlds viewed by many as mystical and otherworldly. But to a shaman, they are the true reality of healing. Shamans tend to travel lightly in the world, and we will announce their presence as soon as we know. :)
